One for Guitar Center w/ drummer Stephen Perkins

So I purchased a guitar amp at Guitar Center for my seven year old - went directly upstairs to meet the drummer for Jane’s Addiction Stephen Perkins(drums for several other amazing bands but I gave myself 5 minutes to write this blog). Upon sharing his worldly- world drumming influences - talk about a global learner; I developed a deeper appreciation for him and the depthness he brings to groups/bands he plays with.

Me: So umm, Stephen- what the hell were you thinking with the drums on “Caught Stealing..?”

Stephen: Well…gogo music was popular then and I used it. lol

Can you imagine Stephen listening to the song “doin’ the butt” and then writing the drum part to “Caught Stealing”??? Crazy!!!
